Pull the plug:
should only be used in the most extreme situations:
computer is known to be running some destructive process
there is an expectation that a software logic bomb is in place protecting the shutdown process
other urgent circumstance is present.
Pulling the plug causes an immediate shutdown.
There is some risk that some data may be corrupted during this process but most of the drive should remain unharmed.
As before, any encrypted data will be inaccessible after such a shutdown.
