15. Make Two Copies

• Quite often evidence may get damaged or completely lost if only a single copy of digital evidence was made.

  • (In a period of a few years both the original media and its copy could degrade.)

• Therefore, always make at least two copies of the original digital evidence.

• Check that at least one of the copies was successful.

• The verification should take place on another computer.
