17. Suspect Computer

• Once the power supply is shut off,

  1. Remove the computer casing

  2. Ensure that the computer does not contain explosives

  3. Examine the internals of the computer

  4. Unplug power cables from hard drives

  5. Verify that all cards are seated properly

  6. Check for any anomalies inside the computer like an extra disconnected hard drive

  7. Make photographs of the equipment as necessary.
